The Central Organisation of Finnish Trade Unions (SAK) has renewed the online test of working conditions. The research-based Good Job Barometer enables anyone to test the quality of their working conditions and compare them with the experiences of more than 1,200 other employees in Finland.

A number of trade unions have already instated an overtime ban as of Monday 17 September. Also PAU from Monday 24 Septemper until 7 October.
The application period for the 2019 grants awarded by Kansan Sivistysrahasto and PAU is in August 2018. You will find an online application form with instructions on how to apply on the webpage of KSR (www.sivistysrahasto.fi).
SAK-affiliated unions – Finnish Transport Workers’ Union (AKT), Finnish Post and Logistics Union (PAU), Finnish Seafarers' Union (SMU), Locomotive Drivers Union (VML) and Railway Salaried Staff’s Union (RVL) – have today founded an organization called Kuljetusliitot KL. The purpose of the organization is to advance and develop the co-operation between unions, protection of interests and the collective labor agreement activities.
Among new members joining by midsummer, a traveling gift card of Matkavekka worth 800 euros, 2 gift certificates of 300 Euros to the Holiday Club spas and a gift certificate of 300 euros to the Gigantti store will be drawn.
The table salaries agreed in the communications and logistics collective agreement were raised by 30,97 euros per month and 19 cents per hour. The raise is the same for all and will be added to salaries retrospectively starting from 1.11.2017. The raises were supposed to be paid by Posti in the pay day 28.2.2018. For some this was carried out correctly, but due to a mistake made by Posti for some other employees this was calculated wrong.
Last summer Posti transferred its newspaper delivery to Posti Palvelut Oy, which is a member of the employer union Finnmedia (Medialiitto). Because of this transfer those working in newspaper delivery have since November been under the collective labor agreement negotiated by The Industrial Union (Teollisuusliitto, former TEAM).
