The collective labour agreement
is the single most important
agreement for employees
The best and most important benefits provided by PAU membership are the supervision of your interests and the collective labour agreements. The union’s bargaining power for better terms of employment depends on how many employees in the sector are PAU members. The collective labour agreement is the single most important agreement for employees. It defines wages and overtime pay (there is no statutory minimum wage), working hours, holidays and holiday bonuses, paid leave, pay during sick leave and occupational safety, among other things.
The collective labour agreement also affects your leisure time. It defines when you will have time off, and how much pay you will have for the costs of living, housing and hobbies. Union membership will benefit you at work and during your time off. Membership is a product that strengthens a citizen’s basic security.
