range of benefits
The membership fee for PAU in 2026 is 1,59% of the gross income paid by your employer. A pensioner who receives a salary, the membership fee is 1.04%. The membership fee is a maximum of 90 euros per month. PAU pays the unemployment fund membership fee on behalf of the member. The membership fee of unemployment fund is in total tax deductible. Your employer will deduct the membership fee from your salary and pay it to the union. Please always check your pay slip to make sure the employer does indeed collect your membership fee.
According to a decision of PAU’s Union Council, members who receive benefits from the unemployment fund are charged a supporting membership fee amounting to 0.55% of the gross amount of the benefit paid. This fee is used to fund member services provided by the union.
A part of the membership fee is returned to the local chapters to finance their work on monitoring the interests and other activities.
