Affiliates of the Central Organisation of Finnish Trade Unions (SAK) will seek wage increases of ten per cent. The aim is a six per cent pay rise in the first year, boosting monthly wages by at least EUR 150. A follow-up increase of 4 per cent in the second year will mean a further minimum rise of EUR 100 per month.

Meeting on Thursday 4 April, the Executive Board of the Central Confederation of Finnish Trade Unions (SAK) announced that affiliated unions will suspend political strike action from next Monday. The Executive Board will reassess the ongoing situation on 18 April.
At a press conference on Tuesday, the Central Organisation of Finnish Trade Unions (SAK) explained its efforts to establish negotiating channels with the Finnish Government in recent weeks. These efforts have been futile, and the Government has instead announced the intention to continue implementing its plans in all respects.
It has come to our attention that SOL Logistiikkapalvelut has canceled the already agreed work shifts during last week's strike, Thu-Fri 1-2 February 2024. SOL states that they have a justified reason for the reorganization of work according to the Working Time Act. In PAU's view, SOL does not have the legal right to cancel already agreed work shifts.
