The PAU`s Committee of Youth is organizing Summer Weekend of young members in PAU under 36 years old on May 30–31, 2026.
16.04.2026PAU has taken out union insurance and organisation insurance with If Insurance Company for its members. The insurance is included in the membership fee.
25.03.2026PAU pays a strike allowance of 67 euros per day (51,70 euros after taxes) to PAU members participating in the strike. You can apply for strike allowance for the 14th December 2023 strike electronically at pau.lakkoavustus.fi until 27th December 2023.
The strike allowance is tax-free up to 16 euros. Strike allowances over 16 euros are subject to a 30 % tax (Section 88 of the Income Tax Act and the tax administration’s decision). With a 67 euros strike allowance, the taxed part is 51 euros. This means you will get a strike allowance of 51,70 euros per day after taxes.
You can identify yourself in pau.lakkoavustus.fi with either a mobile ID (mobiilivarmenne) or online banking credentials. Applying electronically for the strike allowance is the primary way and also the fastest way to do it. However, if it is not possible for you to apply electronically, you can use this form to apply. Also employees, who are on strike but are a member of another SAK trade union, use the same form to apply for strike allowance.
