PAU members have the possibility to order a mobile PAU membership card in addition to the traditional card free of charge. The card functions also as a travel insurance card. The mobile application makes it easy to also find the membership benefits quickly. The mobile card works on phone using iOS, Android ja Windows Phone operating systems.
When PAU has sent you the mobile membership card you will get a text message: ”PAU has sent you a mobile card. You can download it (link to the application store). Your activation code is (XXXXXXX)."
Depending on the operating system your phone uses, the link will direct you to the correct application store. Make sure to keep the activation code secure and use it when you open the “wallet” (Lompakko) app for the first time. Lompakko app will also ask in the beginning you email address for the “Return” -function, so that you can download the app to a new phone in case your phone or phone number changes.
When you have installed the Lompakko app on your phone, PAU membership card will be downloaded automatically. The travel insurance card from insurer If can be seen on the other side of the mobile card.
The PAU card can also receive information about new membership benefits and discounts as well as messages meant for members. You also have at your disposal the map services of PAU.

Mobile card is a new way to use a card instead of a traditional plastic card. On petrol stations, it is still necessary to use the traditional card to get the discount.
I have downloaded Lompakko from the app store, but I can’t get the cards in it since the app keeps asking for an activation code I do not have?
You can receive a card in the app only after PAU has sent them to a member, this way it can be guaranteed, that the card is” for real”.
I have switched phones. How can I transfer the cards in Lompakko to the new phone?
You can use the Return -function in Lompakko to retrieve your old cards. You must activate the Return -function already in the old phone for it to work in the new one.
The Return -function asks for my email address when I want to activate it. What is this information used for?
When you switch phones or phone numbers, the Return -function sends a new activation code to the email address you have provided. No information is given to third parties.
Why does the Return -function send a confirmation code both by email and text message and do I need to put both confirmation codes into the new phone?
Both confirmation codes need to be put in the phone so that the cards can be retrieved to the new phone. The email identifies the user and the text message makes sure the phone number is correct.
I don’t have a smart phone, what can I do?
In that case, you can’t make use of the Lompakko® app. You can ignore and delete the message. You still have a valid plastic membership card.
Is it okay to download the card into a work phone provided by the employer? What happens to the card if the employment ends and I must give back the phone?
When first starting to use the card the application prompts you to give an email address to return the card. By registering your personal email address, you can later retrieve the card to a new phone. So, there is no problem using the card on a work phone.
I noticed I have given the wrong phone number. How can I get the card into the right phone number?

I’m abroad and aren’t keeping my phone on. Can I get the link and the code by email?
Unfortunately, this isn’t possible. The activation code can only be sent by text message. You can order the membership card when you’re back in Finland and using your phone again.
I live abroad and got a text message with a link to download the card. However, I can’t find the app in the application store?
Make sure you phone is set to a Finnish application store and not an international one.
Why haven’t I received a text message even if it has been ordered for me?
Please note that we can’t guarantee a 100% delivery due to reasons beyond our control, which can be for example:
- Wrong phone number
- The receiving number has been disconnected
- The phone is switched off or outside the coverage area
- When switching phone service provider, the information transfers can affect service text messages
- There are occasional interruptions in service provider networks and in the mobile network
