The PAU`s Committee of Youth is organizing Summer Weekend of young members in PAU under 36 years old on May 30–31, 2026.
16.04.2026PAU has taken out union insurance and organisation insurance with If Insurance Company for its members. The insurance is included in the membership fee.
25.03.2026The Summer Job Helpline, provided jointly by the Central Organisation of Finnish Trade Unions (SAK), Akava and the Finnish Confederation of Professionals (STTK) will once again be open for calls from Monday 5 May 2025 onwards. The service provides free advice to summer employees on all matters related to employment relationships. The Summer Job Helpline is a low threshold service and its use does not require union membership.
Toni Heikkilä, who has just recently stepped into the position of Summer Job Helpline Advisor, emphasises that advice and information is available with a low threshold. Even one simple question can help to avoid bigger problems.
“The service exists precisely to enable summer employees, their family members and employers to seek advice in problem situations. There are no stupid questions, and the earlier you seek advice, the more easily things can be dealt with”, Heikkilä points out.
