Does your workplace promote equality and non-discrimination?

How are equality and non-discrimination issues handled at your workplace? Did you know that Posti has an Equality and Non-Discrimination Program? In practice, this means Posti has zero tolerance for discrimination and unequal treatment.

Posti has drawn up the Equality and Non-Discrimination Program (Tasa-arvo ja yhdenvertaisuusohjelma). According to the program, all employees must be treated equally, fairly, and without discrimination regardless of ethnic background, religion, gender, political opinion, age, nationality, sexual orientation, marital status, or disability. The program also states that Posti ensures there are no unjustified pay gaps between women and men performing the same or equivalent work.

The Equality and Non-Discrimination Program has been approved by the Group Executive Board and covers the period 2024–2026. The program sets concrete goals for gender equality and provides guidelines to ensure equality among different population groups, as well as ethnic and age groups.

Equality and Non-Discrimination Committee 

Posti has an Equality and Non-Discrimination Committee responsible for monitoring, investigating, and overseeing how equality and non-discrimination are realized in all areas of working life. The committee makes recommendations when necessary to promote an equal and inclusive work community.

The committee maintains the feedback channel tasa-arvo@posti.com, where employees can confidentially report or give feedback related to equality and non-discrimination. Employees can also report suspected misconduct confidentially and anonymously through the SpeakUp whistleblowing channel.

The committee does not directly handle or resolve feedback received through the feedback channel. Instead, it is responsible for ensuring that any feedback requiring follow-up or corrective measures is immediately forwarded to the relevant HR area. Additionally, the committee monitors the handling of the feedback and ensures proper follow-through. The goal is a prompt response and resolution of the issue.
